Want a job where your work matters every single day? Join the kitchen team at ISD 728 and help make sure hundreds of students get a good, hot lunch.
What you'll do:
You'll work alongside a friendly kitchen crew serving lunches, helping prep food, and running the register. When lunch wraps up, you'll help clean and reset the kitchen so it's ready to go the next day. You may also help track meal counts, handle daily deposits, and stock groceries when deliveries arrive.
No two days feel exactly the same, but every day ends with the kitchen clean, the students fed, and your afternoons free.
What we're looking for:
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Basic kitchen knowledge: cooking, serving, and keeping things clean and safe
- Comfort with simple math for cashiering and measuring
- A team player who's friendly with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work around standard kitchen and cleaning products
- Willingness to learn the computer systems we use (we'll train you)
Occasional catering events and extra hours may come up if you want them.
Locations and Hours:
Rogers Middle School
- 3 hours/day; approximately 10:45 am to 1:45 pm
- 3.5 hours/day; approximately 10:15 am to 1:45 pm
Rogers Elementary School
- 4.5 hours/day; approximately 9:30 am to 2:00 pm
Prairie View Elementary School
- 4.75 hours/day; approximately 9 am to 1:45 pm
- 7 hours/day; TEMPORARY Approx. 9/1/26 to 12/24/6; 6 am to 1:30 pm
